In Cold Blood
by Truman Capote

November 15, 1959 - The most unlikely family in America is brutally murdered one by one in their home, with a lack of apparent motive and clues.

This book is an intensely compelling look at this real murder case, delving into the minds and lives of both the killers and the victims, in the end raising questions about the ethics of capital punishment.

For what it's worth, I highly recommend this book (and I hear the movie is a classic as well, though I have yet to see it).
