Bowling for Columbine (2002)

This is a fantastic documentary about gun control (or lack thereof) in America. Michael Moore traverses America looking for answers as to why so many people are murdered with guns every year, while in other prominent countries, rates are miniscule.

He uses the Columbine massacre as his starting and ending points, but in the middle confronts such people as Dick Clark, Marilyn Manson, Matt Stone (of South Park), and Charleton Heston (president of the NRA) in order to come to a conclusion about what is wrong with America and its guns.

This is an absolute must-see movie for everybody. While at times it gets pretty heavy (especially with the security footage from Columbine high school), there are a lot of funny moments. Overall, however, it is provocative, and what else can one ask for in a film?
